A countertop/backsplash can be returned to use 24 hours after completion. When compared to replacement, you can enjoy your new counter/backsplash weeks if not months sooner than possible when ordering replacement custom surfaces.

Here’s what we do:

• Repair any damage you have to the existing countertops and thoroughly clean and etch your countertops/backsplash to remove any contaminants from the surface.
• Mask off the surrounding areas including your cabinets, floors and adjacent walls
• Spray a two part compound designed to bond to the existing countertops and tile
• Spray a water based colour from one of our designer colours in your choice
• Spray a two part compound in either a gloss or a satin finish designed to provide a durable water resistant protective finish
• Remove the masking and your countertops and tile are ready for use in 24 hours

How to prepare for our arrival:

1. Clear everything off the top of your Kitchen/Bathroom counters and clean counters/backsplash
2. Sinks and stovetops do not have to be removed, Countertop Makeovers can easily tape off the existing sink and taps. If removing sink - Shut off the water before you remove any sinks from the counters that are being resurfaced
3. Pull out the fridge and stove to provide easy access to the ends of the countertop/backsplash
4. Remove items such as curtains, towels, etc… from the Kitchen/Bathroom if they are within 3 to 4 feet of the countertop/backsplash

Once resurfacing has been completed:

1. Your countertops and tile are ready to use 24 hours after resurfacing. We recommend gentle use for the first 48 hours
2. You may caulk if you deem it necessary
3. Cleaning your countertop and/or backsplash is easy, only soap and water is needed but any household cleaners that do not contain bleach or abrasives can be used
